Systems don’t always work how they should.

While our individual advocacy work is our main focus sometimes a system breaches human rights and badly affects so many of our clients that we will work to change that system.

We do this by raising awareness of systemic problems, by working to change how things operate and how those within the system act. We might even work to have legislation changed so that Tasmanians’ human rights are better protected.

One example has been our work to change the Guardianship & Administration system along with the Public Trustee. This has been a major campaign and was necessary as so many of our clients’ rights were being abused by the Public Trustee and through the Guardianship & Administration system.
